“Containers in Context” – Anneleen Swillen

Design by Anneleen Swillen, 2014.
Anneleen Swillen is inspired by the way daily goods are consumed and (re)presented. The jewellery pieces from “Containers in Context” are inspired by the interesting but unnoticed design from disposable packaging. Challenged by this ambivalence, between waste and its aesthetic potential, her designs and materials play with the notion of precious and worthless. The use of contrasts and metaphors is a recurrent feature in realizing her concepts. The origin from the “in Context” collection will be less clear; the playful designs dispose of a more autonomous shape.
